Two photos, one file, no distortion
Putting images next to each other sounds trivial until the two photos have different heights: naive tools stretch one to match the other, and faces end up squashed. The horizontal layout below scales every image proportionally to a common height instead, so each keeps its own aspect ratio and only the widths differ. The tool is already set to horizontal — add your photos and the arrangement is done.
Getting the order and the spacing right
Left-to-right order follows the order of the thumbnails, which you can change by dragging them or with the arrow buttons on each one. For a before-and-after, that means putting the "before" first. If you want a visible separation between the two photos, raise the spacing slider and pick a background color — the gap is drawn in that color, so white separates cleanly on a light document and black disappears into a dark one.

Drop them anywhere on the page or pick them from your device. JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, TIFF and AVIF are all accepted, and photos shot on a phone keep the right orientation because EXIF rotation is applied.
Choose a layout and an order
Horizontal puts the images side by side at a common height, vertical stacks them at a common width, and grid arranges them in even columns. Every layout scales proportionally, so nothing is ever stretched or distorted. Drag the thumbnails, or use the arrow buttons, to set the order.
Set your size limit and combine
Enter the maximum file size you need — 2 MB by default. Combinor first lowers the encoding quality step by step, and only if that is not enough does it reduce the dimensions, searching for the largest image that still fits under your limit.

What happens to your images
Your images are sent to the server, combined in memory and sent straight back. Nothing is written to disk, nothing is stored, and there is no account to create. The output is re-encoded from raw pixels, which means the metadata of the source files — including any GPS coordinates recorded by a phone — does not survive into the combined image.

How do I put two pictures side by side?
Add both pictures to the tool above and press Combine & Compress. The horizontal layout is already selected, so they are placed left to right at a common height in a single file.
What if my two photos have different heights?
They are scaled proportionally to the height of the shortest one, so both keep their original proportions. Nothing is stretched or cropped — the wider photo simply takes more width in the result.
Can I put more than two images side by side?
Yes, up to 200 in one go. They are all brought to the same height and laid out left to right in the order of the thumbnails.
How do I add a gap between the two images?
Use the spacing slider, from 0 to 100 pixels, and choose a background color. The gap is filled with that color, so a white background gives a clean visual separation.
How do I change which photo is on the left?
Drag the thumbnails into the order you want, or use the arrow buttons on each thumbnail. The first thumbnail becomes the leftmost image.
Can I make a before-and-after image this way?
Yes — that is the most common use of this layout. Put the "before" photo first and the "after" second, and the pair reads naturally left to right in a single attachment.
